A Property Investment Strategist - Rick Otton
Mr. Rick Otton is A Property Investment Strategist from Australia. From a student who learnt about kinesics and subliminal communication techniques, he became a renowned property advisor. He began as a teenager who tried to relate the uniqueness of human behavior to different occupations.
He is well known for the way he teaches people. Rick's style is humorous and it has proven to be very effective. His common belief is that when you make people laugh, they tend to want to learn. From his wide knowledge of human behavior, he teaches people how to elicit favorable responses in conversations. He teaches how to take any conversation to the wanted conclusion and obtain desired results. Rick has shared his knowledge of human behavior with several people through several TV shows over the years. Majorly, his teachings emphasize how people can create income for themselves without actually going out to work for it (passive income).
In 1980, he started working in marketing and sales including writing radio jingles. The jingles he wrote were in high demand, they were aired on different radio stations. As his jingles became popular, so did Rick and his work and creative marketing style
In September 1986, Big Bad Baz, which he had written was released. In 1987, his next album 'What's Cookin', was released by RCA. These albums had people taking which in turn had people talking about Rick Otton
Then, he began to present on the TV. Rick started his career as the television creator and presenter of the 'Couch Critic program in the United States of America. As the years have gone on many have taken his place but many say the original was the best
In 1991, Rick decided to dive into property investment. He started alternative real estate investment in the USA. As someone who always wants to do more than just average, he put in his all to get the best he could in the real estate industry. Having gotten motivated by the 'savings and loan' crisis at that time, he put the strategies he learned about when he was younger into serious practice. Thankfully, his efforts yielded great results in his new venture. Between 1991 and 1992, he had bought over 70 properties. He buys cheap properties and turns them into sources of passive income. With his effective strategies of high rewards and low risk, he acquired many properties at low prices and eventually, made a fortune out of them.
He shared these strategies in his podcasts and books. There have been several testimonies of people who have been enlightened by Rick's podcasts. Apart from teaching people about real estate investment and sales, Rick also talks about how people can convince others effectively. He tells people about the 'refined' art of pulling, instead of being pushed around. He believes that you can influence how people will feel about you. The way they see your products and ideas can be noticed and controlled, with the right strategies. Instead of letting people's opinions determine your actions and feelings, he shares how you can make your actions and words control how people perceive you and how they respond.
"I have made many mistakes along the way working out what does and doesn't work. I've never lost, only come second and hope to reach the finish line thinking, 'boy, wasn't that great!'", Rick said.
In an interesting way, Rick Otton knows how to teach people without them feeling overwhelmed or even bored. He also teaches people to learn from his humorous style of conversation. He is of the notion that, with a good sense of humor, people can be in charge of any conversation and direct the outcome according to their preference. With his sense of humor, he shares his ideas as regards business, investment, and sales.
Instead of spending years on the learning curve, he encourages people to learn from the experience that he shares in his books. His several works have made up online libraries and serve as resources for effective real estate strategies.
He was the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of WeBuyHouses. The company is a property firm that operates in Australia, the United States of America, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
